Attractions and Highlights
# 1. Arlington Row - The Landmark of Bibury
Arlington Row is the most famous photo spot in Bibury and one of the most photographed streets in England. The charming houses with their honey-colored stone facades and traditional slate roofs are a prime example of Cotswolds architecture.

These buildings were erected in 1380 as wool stores and later converted into weaver's cottages in the 17th century. Today, they are a national heritage and preserved by the National Trust to maintain their historical appearance.

# 2. The River Coln and its Picturesque Surroundings
The River Coln flows through Bibury, shaping the village with its peaceful atmosphere and clear waterways. Along the river, picturesque walking paths extend, allowing visitors to enjoy the surrounding nature.

The river landscape is home to many waterfowl and other wildlife that can be observed in the meadows and trees around Bibury. Particularly in spring and summer, the blooming plants along the banks create an idyllic scene.

# 3. Bibury Trout Farm - A Paradise for Nature Lovers
One of England's oldest fish farms, Bibury Trout Farm, is located near the village and is a popular attraction for visitors. Established in 1902, it is dedicated to sustainable trout farming in the clear waters of the Coln.

Here, visitors can learn about fish farming, fish themselves, or taste fresh trout, which is considered a culinary specialty in the region.

# 4. St. Mary's Church - A Testament to Medieval History
St. Mary's Church in Bibury dates back to the Saxon era, with parts of the current structure remaining from the 12th century. The intricate stained glass windows and historical tombstones in the adjacent cemetery reflect the village's long history.

The church offers a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere and is a hidden gem for those interested in sacred architecture and history.

Nature and Landscape
Bibury is surrounded by the gentle hills of the Cotswolds, one of England's most beautiful rural regions. The area offers numerous hiking trails and opportunities for nature lovers to explore the traditional landscape with its stone walls, sheep pastures, and old farmhouses.

In spring and summer, the meadows transform into a colorful sea of flowers, while in autumn, the warm colors of the deciduous trees envelop the village in a particularly romantic atmosphere.

The National Trust protects and manages Arlington Row as well as other historical and natural elements in Bibury to preserve the village for future generations. Beautiful village in Cotswold. Parking could be an issue but not too difficult to find as lot of ppl are arriving and leaving if you wait for the spot. Overall nice day out to see some fairytale scenes!

Do you like coach loads of tourists? No, neither do I. It's a 3 street town with little to no parking and far too many people. My suggestion is to stay away.

Atmosfera fiabesca. È una meta molto comune nei tour organizzati e quindi c’è sempre tanta gente. Meglio andare in bassa stagione!

It’s a pretty, small, quaint village. The walk around it is pointless. The village itself is the centre piece and you can cover most of it with a 20-30 min walk. It would have been a nice place to visit had it not been so popular and packed with tourists. Easily skippable. Maybe a quick stop off if it’s on the way to something else. Cirencester is much more worthwhile.

The hype around this village makes no sense. It’s just a random collection of pretty and not so pretty houses without a center, a shop or even a place to stop for a drink. Mass tourism, no parking, filthy public toilets (at 40p per person), and half the village taken up by a trout farm. Don’t waste your time here. There are far better places to visit in Cotswold.

I enjoyed the site a lot. Even though it was busy when we got there, it was still full of calmness. The nature, architecture, village and everything was really beautiful. Definitely take your time walking around. Have a drink or coffee. Enjoy the sound of river and birds. It can be described as an entrance to the heavens. Not just quite a heaven, but really close.

Very pretty small village, but very busy. Parking was difficult as was getting in and around the village.

We visited on a Friday afternoon. Nearby parking spots were already taken and the place was crowded. We ended up going further east down the road and parked on the curb in a narrow road. The iconic spot itself was beautiful, but be warned that if you don't go early in the day then there will almost always be tourists looking to take the same picture as you.

Bibury is a charming traditional rural village described as " the most beautiful village in England". It is noted for Arlington Row, a well preserved row of stone cottages for weavers in the 17th Century. The marshy area called Rack Isle adjoining Arlington Row is a vital wildlife refuge. The bridges over the River Coln with the graceful swans add to the natural beauty. Had to use the overflow parking area run by the Trout Farm to the left of the Swan Hotel.

Lovely setting but overrun with tourists in August on a Wednesday. Such a shame.

It’s a fairly small village. Parking could be very challenging, the young man in bibury farm (go straight when you see the Swan Hotel) is amazing who gave us 30 mins free parking session. Dislike the public paying toilet. We paid 40p but not working at all, the electric door is not opened. Also, please do not follow Google Map for parking, it’s inaccurate.

Absolutely gorgeous! The pictures say it all! The place is well taken care off with signs everywhere, clean and clear paths, the river has access from the street by steps which is a fun addition, bring with some slippers for foot dipping into the water, might get very busy with tourists so better choose calm days
